We went to Disney…on Ice!
My mom and I were very excited to take my cousins (Maddie, Kate, and Jack) to see Disney on Ice on Friday night. We are huge Disney fans (I’ll be taking my 14th and 15th trip to Disney World next month) so we had no doubt that it would be a fun evening, but could Disney bring that magical feeling to Chicago for a few hours? You know, that feeling that everything is right with the world, everyone is happy, and that Tinkerbell is fluttering around above you.
That’s just a tiny snippet of the two hour show, and I think it’s pretty clear that the Disney feeling was in the air. It snowed, Mickey floated above the crowd in a hot air balloon, everyone clapped and sang along to It’s a Small World, Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah, Be Our Guest, and The Circle of Life and of course, there were fireworks!
You can tell from some of the pictures that the kids were mezmorized by the show. Kate was the most enthralled – dancing, singing, and explaining every scene to whoever was sitting next to her. That girl knows every Disney character. It’s amazing.
Kate even got caught busting into spontaneous dance during the intermission. That’s just how excited she was.
Lots and lots of thanks go to Mom Central and Feld Entertainment for providing such a memorable night out for my family! There were lots of thanks and hugs and kisses from the kids, too!
