I kind of regret never going to any formals in high school. Between school and sports, my group of friends wasn’t into getting dressed up and spending the evening listening to a DJ in our school gym. Shopping for prom dresses just wasn’t a priority for me then, but now I love to look at formal wear even though I have nowhere to go.
Elegant Mart has fabulous dresses for proms, parties, and balls, all priced below retail. Many of the dresses look very couture, and you can be sure there won’t be anyone else wearing the same dress. I know I would have gone for something completely out of the box, like the dress pictured.
Maybe I’ll throw a prom party so all of us adults can get dressed up and relive our senior year!
I am all for maintenance Botox treatments. My mom and sister have both had Botox, and I think it’s time for me to investigate a little for my brow and cupids bow.
Wouldn’t it be great if one of us took botox training courses? Or we could have Mike learn the ins and outs of Botox, since he’s the one with the medical experienced! Dr. Dolores Kent’s video, The Complete Guide to Botox Injections, gives detailed instruction on how to handle, store, and administer Botox in the face and neck.
It’s easy to order The Complete Guide to Botox Injections from Dr. Kent’s website, now I just have to find out where to buy vials of Botox!
I leave for Blissdom in Nashville early Friday morning, and I’ve been packing and repacking all week. You’ve got to dress to impress when you’re going to network with 100 other female bloggers!
I’ve packed two jackets, the standard cardigan and blouse, a cocktail dress, and jeans. There’s also cute shoes to go with each outfit, but I kept it pretty casual.
If you’re headed to Blissdom, leave me a comment so we can meet up! Are you pulling out your conference couture?
Four Foods on Friday is getting a little crazy this week. It’s all about weird ways we eat normal foods.
1. What’s the oddest thing you’ve ever made with bread?
A brown sugar sandwich. White bread, butter, and brown sugar. A friend in college was addicted to them. I think it’s a southern thing.
2. What’s the oddest thing you’ve ever done with mac and cheese or pasta?
I mix stuff in with my pasta all the time. Tuna, peas, broccoli, artichokes, cheese. I’ve also made pasta in the oven, microwave, and crock pot.
3. Is there a food you eat other then it is intended?
I would say ketchup on eggs, but not as many people are grossed out by that anymore. I dip shrimp in Ranch dressing instead of cocktail sauce.
4. What’s the weirdest food you’ve ever seen?
Fresh conch in the Bahamas. The fisherman pulled it right out of the ocean, dug it out of its shell, and chopped it up and ate it. If I were to go back, I’d definitely try it.
Valentine’s Day and my birthday are approaching, and I know this time of year is stressful for my husband, so I’ve compiled a short list of appropriate gifts. He can feel free to pick and choose based on his tastes and the gift giving day.
I’ve been wanting a nice jewelry dish or ring holder, and I think this weiner dog ring holder is perfect.
I’ve also been telling Mike for the pasts six years that peppermint ice candy from Fannie May is my favorite candy. Hopefully this will be the year he gets the hint and buys a small box because I only break my diet on special holidays. Like my birthday.
I also told Mike he needs to take me to see Mary Poppins in Chicago. I saw it on Broadway last summer and loved not, so I need to see it again. I love Ashley Brown.
