I am loving Atkins. 7 pounds in 7 days and I haven’t once been hungry. The only thing I don’t love is that I can’t go. To the bathroom. Number two. I know that’s too much information, but lets get real. We all go to the bathroom and a lot of us are focused on a healthy new year, and the two go hand in hand.
A great way to start a new diet and exercise routine is with an Herbal Cleanser, like the Dual-Action Cleanse. A colon cleanse helps to eliminate toxins from the body and give you a fresh start. There’s an entire list of improvements you may feel after a colon cleanse, including increased energy, decrease gas and bloating, clearer skin and the ultimate goal…a slimmer silhouette.
The Dual-Action Cleanse contains a proprietary blend of 22 fibers and herbs that increase digestive function and promote bowel movements. Fennel seed, apple pectin, lemon peal, mint leaf, and turnip are all part of that blend and all natural substances we know and can pronounce! No scary chemicals or ancient herbs.
If you’re looking to jump-start your New Year’s resolution, consider a colon cleanse!
We all need to congratulate ourselves. We made it through the first full week of 2009 and it’s time for Four Foods on Friday! I’m sure most of us made a food-related resolutions, promise, or dream. I started Atkins this week, so what better way to torture myself than to talk about carbs!
Just joking! Here are this week’s four delectable questions…
1. Waffles. Do you usually eat frozen or homemade?
Frozen, but we do love Batter Blaster!
2. Eggs. Do you buy brown, white, or it doesn’t matter?
I’m intimately involved with eggs since starting Atkins, but I’ve never seen brown in the grocery store. We do get them quite often at work from a local farmer for photoshoots, though.
3. Oatmeal. Do you usually make instant or cooked?
Instant, maple and brown sugar. Ahhh…if only.
4. Bacon. Share instructions or a recipe that you use bacon in.
Being on Atkins, I’ve been eating bacon every day. My favorite is the pre-cooked, microwavable bacon from Costco. 45 seconds in the microwave, and it’s perfect with eggs. 60 seconds and it’s nice and crunchy to crumble into recipes.
Today is the day I’m supposed to put my 2009 resolutions out there and then let everyone watch me break them within the first month, right?
Well not this year. This year I’m playing fast and loose with resolutions and putting together a more general approach to life instead.
- Find out what’s wrong with me and fix it.
- Stick to a diet plan.
- Exert some energy by using Wii Fit regularly.
- Focus on finances.
- Relax. Physically and mentally.
That’s it. That’s my approach to life starting Thursday.
Now, I’m going to ring in the new Year by eating Bagle Bites, drinking cheap Chapagne, and watching Dog the Bounty Hunter with my husband.
I hesitate to call it a New Year’s Resolution, but I have resounded to the fact that I am too heavy and have decided to make an effort to watch what I eat. That means adding more fruits and veggies to my diet, and having a small salad before dinner to help fill me up.
I was super excited to be asked to try two new Grey Poupon varieties, hearty
spicy brown and harvest coarse ground, because one tablespoon only has 10 calories. I taste tested each sample, and decided that I liked the texture of the harvest coarse ground and the fact that it was spicy but not hot.
By mixing a tablespoon of Grey Poupon harvest coarse ground with a tablespoon of honey, I made a tasty salad dressing for only 70 calories that has quite a kick! I plan on adding the new Grey Poupon to sandwiches, chicken breasts, and dipping pretzels in it from now on.
My New Year’s Resolution is to stop biting my fingers nails, and to achieve my goal, I am going to treat myself to frequent manicures.
The best motivation is a reward, isn’t it?
