I don’t know anything about boxing, but I have to admit that it seems very hip and glamorous to be a spectator at one of the big boxing matches in Las Vegas. Celebrities flock to the event to be seen on the red carpet and the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Oscar De La Hoya tickets will sell out fast because the rematch is slated to be the hottest ticket this year.

Mayweather and De La Hoya first went head to head last spring at the MGM Grand and shattered all box office records by grossing $165 million when Mayweather took De La Hoya’s junior middleweight belt. It was a close fight; the crowd behind De La Hoya and the judges behind Mayweather. Now the CEO of Golden Boy Promotions is teasing the public with a possible rematch to take place September 13th or 20th in either Las Vegas or Los Angeles, which will also be available through HBO pay-per-view.

Celebrities at the May 5th fight included Jack Nicholson, Jim Carey and Jenny McCarthy, Eva Longoria, John Cusack, Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez, Michael Jordan, and presidential candidate John McCain.

Jenny Masche totally stole Kate Gosselin‘s thunder.

Both are mothers of sextuplets, but while Kate Gosselin was filming John & Kate + Eight, Jenny Masche ran a marathon less than a year after delivering the sextuplets and living through cadiac arrest during delivery.

I still think Kate wins since she also has a set of bratty twins.

To celebrate the life and legacy of Irvine Robbins, Mike and I made a trip Baskin-Robbins for desert this evening.

In addition to running Baskin-Robbins, Irvine had a creative side, inventing such well known flavors as Mint Chocolate Chip and Jamoca Almond Fudge, but being part of an ice cream empire wasn’t enough for Irvine’s son, John, who wrote the book Diet for a New America, rejecting his family’s business.

Irvine was 90 years old and passed away from complications related to old age. We lift our pink spoon to you, Irvine!

Finally. If you’re the oldest child, you’re not surprised to hear that a new study has confirmed that older children have it rougher. A sociology professor at Johns Hopkins University has proven that there is a national pattern of parents punishing older children more severely than younger children citing that parents routinely use older children to send a message to younger children.

I’m the oldest, and I have to say that I didn’t feel like I had it very rough as a kid. Sure, my sister got to do a few more things that I did, but I think that’s because my parents realized that I lived through everything, so my little sister had a pretty good chance of making it through unscathed. I think some of it had to do with different personalities, too. While I asked to do things, my sister said she was doing them.
