Mike would normally describe me as partly cloudy with a chance of severe thunderstorms, high winds, and hail. I changed my medications from Lexapro to a combination of Effexor and Xanax (as needed – I love when doctors prescribe things as needed) a few weeks ago and didn’t tell him, just to see if he would see a change in my moods, and yesterday he described me as 70 and sunny!

Yes, I think that describes me perfectly.

In other news, I really enjoy following @jerrytaft on Twitter, hence the meteorlogical references.

I’m very particular about certain things, and fabric shower curtains are an absolute must in my house. Vinyl shower curtains usually have tacky designs and the plastic smell lingers forever, not to mention that you can’t change or clean them as easily as you can fabric. I admit to having several different fabric shower certains for each bathroom in the appropriate color schemes and switching things up whenever the bathroom decor gets boring.

When I saw Ted Murphy’s custom Twitter t-shirt, I knew I had to have one since I’m a shameless self-promoter. I enlisted the help of Stacy, who changed up the color scheme to match my site and ordered from Uber Prints, which was super easy and reasonably priced.

President Obama has been in the office less than a week and I am an even bigger supporter now than I was on election day. Not bad for someone who firmly support McCain until last June, eh? Who can resist these dance moves…

If that guy isn’t the spitting image of Barack and makes you love him a little bit more, than the fact that President Obama reversed the absurd Mexico City Policy his forth day in office should do it.

I’m going to my parent’s house to search their basement (where everyone’s extra mattresses, end tables, and electronics end up) for a small television so that I can watch the inaguration at work next Tuesday. It’s the beginning of a new era. I can’t miss that!

President Elect Obama isn’t the only one Reinventing America. Regular people everywhere are advocating frugality, simplicity, and the importance of investing in education and healthcare, and they have an estimate of what their initivies will cost and how they will impact America.

Their platform is a very interesting read, with points everyone can agree on and other points that will seperate many. It’s a great conversation starter and a perfect jumping off point for people that want to reinvent America!
