We received our Economic Stimulus check Friday and after taking a look at our budget software we’ve already put the money to good use.

We’ve spent it, which is just what GW wanted us to do, and we invested in something sustainable that will eventually pay for itself and make us feel like we are doing our part for the environment. We put a deposit on a 2009 Prius!

Since we’ve been hearing rumors that the 2009 Prius will have a more aerodynamic body style and get up to 30% better fuel efficiency, we went ahead and bypassed the 2008 model and, as far as we know, are the first in line for the 2009. This does have it’s down sides. We don’t know exactly what the car will look like, what kinds of colors or packages will be available, or how much the car is going to cost.

I am not a patient person, so the next 6 to 9 months are going to kill me, just waiting to get the phone call that our new car is on the way!
