I’m gearing up for my first blogging conference season. I’m registered for Blissdom and Blogher and I’m working on fitting Affiliate Summit East and BlogWorld into my schedule.
One blogging conference I won’t miss is Izeafest 2009 in Orlando this October. Now is the time to register because early registration just opened (EDIT: SUPER EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION ENDS TODAY – January 22 – AT 5 PM EST!) and space is limited to 500 attendees! Not to mention there’s a $100 discount thru February!
Registration includes speakers like Robert Scoble, Chris Brogan, and the insatiable Ted Murphy. Refreshments, prizes, parties, swag, and the chance to meet ME are also included! Just consider that a perk.
Now, if you’re crazy enough to take your chances and not register early for Izeafest, I may have tickets, but the only way to earn a chance to win a ticket is to be part of The Peanut Gallery. Sign up for SocialSpark and let them know that you want to be part of The Peanut Gallery. Then leave a comment here letting me know that you want to be part of the gallery and I’ll make sure you’re all signed up and ready to start earning.
Remember to join The Peanut Gallery Facebook group and friend me, CorrinRenee, on SocialSpark, Facebook, and Twitter!
If you have any questions, I’m here to help!
Valentine’s Day and my birthday are approaching, and I know this time of year is stressful for my husband, so I’ve compiled a short list of appropriate gifts. He can feel free to pick and choose based on his tastes and the gift giving day.

I’ve been wanting a nice jewelry dish or ring holder, and I think this weiner dog ring holder is perfect.
I’ve also been telling Mike for the pasts six years that peppermint ice candy from Fannie May is my favorite candy. Hopefully this will be the year he gets the hint and buys a small box because I only break my diet on special holidays. Like my birthday.
I thought I was over buying Tiffany’s jewelry, but they’ve come out with a few things that I would love. The green quartz earrings, Elsa Peretti round earrings, and if we are suddenly independently wealthy, the Paloma Picasso sugar stacks ring collection.
I also told Mike he needs to take me to see Mary Poppins in Chicago. I saw it on Broadway last summer and loved not, so I need to see it again. I love Ashley Brown.
On to more reasonable gift requests, I’d would be excited to get a diamond key ring light, forget me not ring, I’m not a paper cup and sunjars. I’d also kind of loving the new Ugg rain boots in gold.
Obviously not an exhaustive list, but a nice start. Flowers and books are always crowd pleasers, too.
Good luck, Mike!
I had enough paid time off to take 13 days off work this holiday season. Despite all the rest and relaxation, I’m already thinking about how I’m going to use next year’s vacation time. Planning is especially difficult because of my busy work schedule and my husband’s unpredictable work schedule.
Vacations To Go has plenty of ideas for for last minute cruise vacations, all up to 75% off! That’s perfect for us, because even though we’re watching our budget, we still require vacations for our sanity!
Planning a cruise through Vacations To Go is a steal with these two little buttons:
Gives a complete listing of cruises 90 days out or less. Most cruises set sail within a week and the deals go quick, so keep your eye on the ticker!

Lets you book your cruise further in advance, but gives you the same great opportunity to take advantage discounted rates though great early bird promotions and specials.
We’re a two vacations a year couple, and booking through Vacations To Go will let us take advantage of all of our vacation days and book two fantastic getaways that give us the most for our money. My vote is for the Greek Isles, while Mike wants to go to Alaska, but both are no problem when cruises are up to 75% off!

I wish I would have received How To Be A Geek Goddess before the holidays, because I would have totally regifted it to my mom. How To Be A Geek Goddess is full of “practical advice for using computers with smarts and style” by Christina Tynan-Wood.
Being a long-time blogger, I immediately flipped to the section on blogging (chapter 11, pages 280-283). While I think the section was a little slim, it gives the author an excuse to write How To Be A Blog Goddess someday and contains some great beginning blogger information, like how to start a blog and purchase a domain.
Simple explainations of everything from buying a computer to mastering email and IM to how to connect through social and professional networks is included in the book, plus super cute “Dear Geek Goddess” letters in every section. It’s a melding of technology, parenting, and education that anyone can grasp and you can get a taste of the style by downloading Chapter 5: Shopping!
If you’d like to learn How To Be A Geek Goddess, just leave a comment telling me what you’d most like to learn from the book. You can also Twitter the following and leave a comment with a link to your Tweet for an additional entry:

I think it is an understatement to say that I cannot live without Air Conditioners. From the minute the outside temperature hits 70 degrees, I have the AC on in the house, car, and office. I’ve even been known to install an extra window unit, like the ones available at www.onlinesplits.com.au, in my bedroom to keep the temperature super cool while I sleep! If you’re an Aussie and you’re looking for quality AC units and service, you’re going to want to have their website bookmarked and their phone number on speed dial. I know I would!
