Sports Injuries

Mike always doubts my sportiness, but I’m telling you, I was a volleyball and softball superstar in my teen years. I even have a sports injury to prove it.
During a pinnacle softball game in 1997, I hit a grounder that made it past the first baseman towards a right fielder with a weak arm, which scored me a easy double. The girl up to bat after me sent a fly ball to center field which nearly cleared the fence. I took off from second base with no problem, but when I rounded third base I felt something in my right knee tear. My knee buckled and slid across the gravel playing field.
Of course, I tried to act tough, but I started crying and couldn’t tell everyone that something was wrong with my knee. They thought I had tripped and fell! When I finally told them that I couldn’t get up because of my knee, I was carried off the field and to the car quite dramatically for a trip to the emergency room.
When all was said and done, I went through three rounds of physical therapy and two knee surgeries. Even though I followed doctors orders, recooperated well, and went out to play another year of sports, my knee has never felt the same.
I started using Freeze It Gel a few months ago and it has helped reduce my pain tremendously. I use it before I exercise, take the dog on a walk, or know I’ll be spending a long day on my feet. Freeze It has kept my pain and discomfort in check and I’ve been able to go longer and farther because of it. I even keep a tube in my purse for whenever I feel a twinge of pain come on.
