Seeing Spots

Sue is the chef that I work with, and she’s pretty amazing. She can whip up a cobbler in no time, cook seven chickens at one time, and dice chives so fast I stop and pray for her finger-tips. She had quite a scare last week, when her eyesight started to deteriorate. She had been seeing spots, her left eye was foggy, and cobwebs would spider through her line of site. Her regular optometrist told her that she was fine for the time being, but to get to the emergency room immediately if it gets any worse, because that mean that her retina detached. Scary diagnosis to make so casually!

Not being satisfied by her initial doctor’s visit, and wanting to solve any major problems before they started, Sue made an appointment with a retina specialist, who got her in for an appointment right away. After a few minutes examining her eyes, the doctor told her that she had severe dry eyes and prescribed eye drops and recommended that she consider switching from glasses to Acuvue Oasys.

After taking the prescribed eye drops twice, Sue’s vision is almost back to normal. The cobwebs have cleared out and the spots have disappeared. She’s also seriously considering switching to contact lenses from 1-800-GET-LENS, since they can help keep her eyes moisturized and her vision clear.
