Peanut the Parrot Saves Lives
There have been stories about dogs saving families lives by waking them up when they smelled smoke, but how about a parrot?
Peanut the parrot mimicked the fire alarm and woke a father and son in time for them to make it out of the house unharmed. The father, Shannon Conwell, said that as soon as he heard Peanut and smelled the smoke, he grabbed his son and Peanut and ran from the home.
Peanut the parrot is one hell of a bird!

I love this story. How did he know that was the right sound to make? Maybe they burn a lot of toast and he learned to associate the sound of the smoke alarm with the smell of smoke?
