Oxblood
Oxblood appears to be a popular choice for this fall, so let’s roll with it.
It feels very early 90s to me (maybe because I wore these penny loafers with my Catholic school uniform), but I’m still into it. It can go professional and preppy or hardcore and goth. Both have their merits, but I lean towards preppy with an edge.
Are you digging around in your closet for any oxblood fashions from years past? Is oxblood your color of choice when stocking up on fall trends?
Also, could there be a worse name for a color than oxblood? Maybe flesh.
Cat eye glasses $12

I love it! It’s one of the few shades of red we gingers can (and should) wear.

Oxblood aka maroon aka burgundy.

I love this color, but my college’s colors were (well, I guess still are) maroon and gold, so I’m probably going to have to get over that rah-rah feeling before I can wear it a lot.
I’m still way into mustard, though I guess that was last fall’s color?

Mustard and maroon look lovely together! But that’s dangerously close to maroon and gold and I don’t picture you as the cheerleader type.

Yeah, the name isn’t very appealing. I had some penny loafers too! I love the glasses and scarf!
