My sister and I have always had eclectic taste in music, but some of our friends thought we were pretty strange for jamming to our Police cd, The Best Of The Police album in high school in the mid 90′s. It was always in the car ready to hit play…on cassette.

We lived in the middle of nowhere and had a super long driveway. I still laugh about waiting for my sister to come home so I could use the car and seeing her barrel down the long gravel driveway with dust kicking up behind her and being able to hear Roxanne blaring from about 500 feet away.

In college, our friends were a little more receptive to our Police love. Including my good friend who used to perform Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic at local dive bars on a regular basis. It was even more poignant when she came out as a lesbian a few years later.

We’ve upgraded that cassette to CD, but it’s nowhere hear as comprehensive as the new Police cd that’s set to hit stores that includes…
