Life in Instagram

The rate at which the weeks fly by is staggering. And a little depressing. Soon it’ll be Christmas, then my 33rd birthday, and before you know it my ovaries will close for business and it’ll just be me and my dog and a pile of dusty books.

Fine. That’s slightly dramatic, but I feel like I need to kick my life into high-gear. In the meantime, this is my life…

I found those earrings in a jewelry box stuffed in the back of my pajama drawer. My great grandma sent them to my sister and I when we got our ears pierced. She poked them through a little piece of cardboard and mailed them with a letter about us being ladies now. I also remember a pair of tiny gold bells that really rang and a basket of flowers, but those are probably long gone.

In a moment of extreme boredom, I took a highlighter to my hair ala 9th grade study hour. I think I like it.

There was lots and lots and lots of eating this week. All of it equally tasty.

The Austin Blogger BBQ was a success. Holla @DonnaMcKee, @regan, @slavetofashion, @CREEdwards, and @DMEEdwards – some of the best people to get the meat sweats with.

Some of my favorite things last week included the delivery of a massive book order from Amazon (check out my summer readin’ list), a $5 mini succulent garden to keep Buddha company, Oliver’s antics with baby powder, and a surprise box of chocolates.
