Let’s Shop – Sleeveless Blazers
Reasons why this post shouldn’t exist:
- I live in Austin, TX.
- It is currently 103 degrees in Austin, TX.
- I hate Tommy Hilfiger.
And yet, I find myself drawn to this Tommy Hilfiger sleeveless blazer.
If you love to layer – it’s a great way to extend your wardrobe – and want to incorporate a modern take on a classic piece, this is a perfect addition to your wardrobe. I love that it nips in at the waist and that it has a hint of pea coat style. You can start wearing this blazer in the fall and it will take you right through spring!
The sleeveless blazer is the new puffy vest!
There are definitely much funkier takes on the sleeveless blazer and the 80′s blazer dress is even making a comeback (My mom will be excited about that. I’m sure she rocked a blazer dress at some point in time.), so take a look at these other options:
So, what’s in your (imaginary) shopping cart this week? Leave your links in the comments so I can window shop with you!

I was paging through the new issue of Real Simple myself last night and I love this sleeveless blazer for the same reasons. And I also hate Tommy Hilfiger.

Jennie – I love that you Tweeted about re-purposing an old blazer! I might have to go digging through my closet before I buy from ole’ Tommy.

I am definitely hitting up Goodwill this weekend. I figure that even if my buddy can’t tailor it for me, it can’t cost that much to have the sleeves removed and the armholes tailored, right?

Hmm…sleeveless blazers are not really my style, but I am searching for the perfect little black dress…so far no luck. I like this one, but I’m still not 100% sure I should buy it http://is.gd/eCG4h

Kate – How about these? I love the first as a stand-alone dress and the second could be dressed up with sparkly cardigans.

Hi Corrin!
I actually fell in love with the one in your first link. For some reason I didn’t check out Macy’s, but thank you, going to order it ASAP. This is why I love blog and forum communities, when you can’t see the obvious someone just opens your eyes.
Have a great week Corrin!

I almost donated my puffy vest collection, but I am glad i didn’t. The sleeveless blazer is not available yet. I called the Tommy Hilfiger flagship store( the phone number provided by the people at Real Simple)on 5th avenue,NYC several times, only to hear each time that it is “due in tonight’s shipment”. It is a “collection” item, and not available on-line, at Macy’s, etc. I am not giving up ’til I get mine.

I love the sleeveless blazer too! Has anyone had luck finding it (or similar alternatives)? I called the Tommy Hilfiger flagship store a week ago and they said that they had already sold out. They might get more, but it would be in a camel color only.

I finally got my sleeveless navy blazer sent to me by the T. Hilfiger flagship store on 5th Avenue, NYC, and I’ve been wearing it everyday since. It is warm, cosy, looks great with dark wash jeans, and almost any long sleeved top ( blouses, turtleneck sweaters, etc)Size 8 fits me, and I normally wear a 10 or 12. I feel professional, and casual at the same time while wearing it. A little silver jewelry dresses it up just perfectly. It was worth $450.
