I distinctly remember watching three specific cartoons as a kid – The Smurfs, The Snorkels, and Alvin & The Chipmunks. The addition of a strawberry Pop-Tart made Saturday mornings truly delightful.
That’s why I’m not ashamed to admit that I spent an embarrassing amount of time on Munk Yourself this afternoon. That’s right. If I were a chipmunk, I’d be one hot little rodent.

On the website, Chipmunk me even says “oh hey, what’s up?” How awesome is that? Your chipmunk can say whatever you like, but keep it family friendly, people.
There’s More M
unk Mayhem over at Nick Jr. that is sure to consume anyone that had the pleasure of watching the original Alvin & The Chipmunks as a kid and the new generation of Alvin & The Chipmunks fans.
Alvin & The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel (Seriously. Can you say that title without smiling? No. You cannot.) is available on DVD on March 30. I never saw this movie but maybe I should. I loved the cartoon — the movie just looked like a little too much for me. But I hope my kids enjoy it someday!

Both movies are good for quite a few laughs, especially if you watch them with little kids, but they do make me miss the half-hour cartoon.
