Le Snob for Le Creuset

I’m making a concerted effort to value quality over quantity in my life. We have far too much stuff that’s broken or useless and I’m over it – which means I’ve completely justified purchasing all kitchenware from here on out from Le Creuset.

Thankfully, Mike’s on board with this new lifestyle, and treated me to a Le Creuset French oven, skillet, and two petite oval casserole dishes. All in my favorite color – kiwi green.

I should probably mention that we decided to make this purchase in Texas. We live in Chicago. I’ll let you guess how friendly TSA was when trying to go through security with 75 pounds of cast iron.

But it was totally worth it, because we scored an extra 35% off outlet prices, which the sales lady told us was better than their upcoming Black Friday promotion. We ended up getting all four pieces for less than the French oven costs alone.

And just in case there really is a Santa Claus, here’s what’s next on my Le Creuset list…

Please, could you say where you purchased in TX for the additional 35% off?

Hi, Jeff. I purchased at the Tanger outlets in San Marco off of 35. Great selection and really nice sales ladies. Not sure if the promotion is still available, but their outlet prices are quite low regardless.
