Ladies Who Lunch
My goal in life is to eventually become a member of the Red Hat Club. I don’t know when or why I decided this, but the opportunity to wear a flashy hat seems as good a reason as any.
To facilitate this goal, a few of us like to get together and pound back a few pot pies…and Mediterranean bread…and salad with sour cream garlic and sweet & sour poppyseed dressing at Chicago Pizza & Oven Grinders from time to time, and that’s just what we did on Sunday afternoon.
We ate. We laughed. We made fools of ourselves (wait…was that just me?). It was delightful.

Holy cow – my glasses do kind of make me look like Harry Caray.

It was so much fun having lunch with @ladygaga. I probably made a fool of myself as well…but that’s just me…and I’m really not one to care. Well…unless I make 2,000,000,000 wrong turns and end up fuming. That is when the effing-f’r-f-bomb starts coming out. Oh, did I tell you I took the Michigan Ave. scenic route home? I almost stopped and bought a pair of boots…but quickly realized I didn’t have a coupon.

I must say, this was as succulent a group of women as I’ve ever met. Literally and euphemistically. I’m feeling quite at home in Chicago. Woot.
