In most pictures of Mike, he smiles with his mouth closed and refrains from flashing us his pearly whites because he has issues with his teeth. It’s not that they aren’t fully functioning and gleaming white, it’s that they are crooked.

He’s visited a local dentist but his technology wasn’t as advanced as San Diego dentist Dr. David Landau and Dr. Tim Collins, who offer Invisalign braces that will fix his crooked teeth without drawing attention to them like conventional braces do.

Drs. Landau and Collins also perform Zoom whitening, which I would love to have done, and apply porcelain veneers as well as conventional crowns, fillings, and bonding. They treat dentistry like an art form, paying great attention to detail.

It has taken a lot of coaxing over the past few years to get him to show his teeth when he smiles, but we’re slowly getting there!
