Investment Pieces
When Mike and I finally buy a house, it’s going to be practically empty because we own nothing. Okay, not nothing, but nothing worth paying movers to take from point A to point B.

The first piece of wood furniture I’d like to invest in is a good kitchen table. I love this farmhouse dining table because it’s simple and sturdy and very Frank Lloyd Wright.
What good piece of furniture would you invest in if money were no object?

We did invest money in our kitchen table. Then two months later our then 8 week old puggle Max chewed the legs of the chairs and table. I wanted to cry!
Actually I think I did, lol!

Dining table. Ours has been a good one, it came with the trailer 28 1/2 years ago. We will seriously look for one when we ever get the dining room re-done. Don’t know when that will be, still working on finishing the kitchen.

It took us two years to finally get a dining table… it changed our lives!
Well, you know. It really is the first thing I would buy if I were starting over. We started eating at the table, and were able to do things that required more space on a hard surface like crafts with the child.
The next thing we got was dining room chairs
yea the table didnt come with any so the computer desk chairs were there for a few months.

Nellie – I had the same dining room table my entire childhood, and my family always sat down to dinner together. Good luck finishing the kitchen and finding the perfect table!

Jesse – I think you’re making fun of me. :-p I think a dining room table is a huge part of family life. My family always sat down and ate dinner together at 5 o’clock, and my husband and I don’t even have a kitchen set that we like.

Why would you think I am making fun of you?! Im totally serious. My family always sat around the table at 5 to eat dinner as a family, even if some of us werent hungry, we were not allowed to leave the table till dinner was over.
After moving out I just got busy, and havent been able to get the whole eat at the table routine down without a table. That is one thing I really miss about life living at home.
