I Survived BlogHer 2010

Every time I say that I survived BlogHer, I really do feel proud because BlogHer is like a triathlon. A triathlon of booze, swag, and emotion. Last year, I was overwhelmed by my first BlogHer. This year, I tuned out the noise. I un-RSVP-ed for parties, lingered longer at the events I chose to attend, and made my top priority enjoying the company of those around me – even if I did just admire some of my favorite bloggers from across the room.

BlogHer is what you make it. If you had an awesome experience, it’s because you are awesome and made it that way. If you thought the whole weekend sucked, it’s because you suck.

Okay, maybe it’s not that black and white.

But BlogHer does offer something for damn-near everyone and gives all of us every opportunity to connect and engage and enjoy! There just isn’t an excuse good enough for not making the most out of BlogHer.

I will be at BlogHer 2011 in San Diego. There are so many people I still haven’t met and every year I get a little better about growing a pair and introducing myself to new friends.

Once again, these fabulous sponsors made my trip to BlogHer possible. If you know my story, you know how close I was to not being able to attend BlogHer. I cannot thank these companies enough for their generosity. I love them. You should, too.

I love introducing GoGirl to new people. Their initial reactions are always priceless and it’s fun to see the A-HA moment when they realize just how useful GoGirls are.

GoGirl is the female urination device that is perfect for girls on the go. The GoGirl is super small and compact – perfect for purses, backpacks, and glove compartments – and can be used over and over again. All you do is firmly press the GoGirl against your girlie bits, aim at your intended target, and…go, girl!

FlightWise Luggage by Lands’ End is specifically designed to fit in overhead storage spaces to enable smart travelers to save money on airline baggage fees. If it wasn’t for FlightWise, I wouldn’t have made it home without spending a small fortune on extra baggage and overweight fees.

My FlightWise carry-on upright has plenty of room for clothes and toiletries and meets all TSA guidelines. It is made of lightweight and durable fabric that can travel anywhere…like San Diego, California!

Savvy Source focuses on all things educational for parents of young kids. Savvy Savings & Scholarships offers discounts of up to 75% on family-friendly educational activities across the country. For every purchase, 5% is donated to the preschool of your choice as well as 5% to the Savvy Source preschool scholarship fund. Not only was Savvy Source one of my personal sponsors, they were a sponsor of Bacon, Eggs and Coupons – a fabulous get-together for frugal, coupon, and personal finance bloggers!
