I don’t know enough about knitting to give this post a witty title

Thanks to the power of YouTube, I’ve marked another goal off of my 40×40 list.

If you guessed “knit a scarf for every man, woman, and child in Central Texas,” you’d be correct!

I’m good at the straightaways, so scarves are my niche at the moment. I also dabble in afghans and am hoping to expand my new-found talent to hats and gloves next so that I can officially call myself a knitter.

Have you ever taught yourself how to do something crafty?

Beautiful! I love knit stuff, so I tried to learn how to knit. I learned how to do the basic motions, but nearly lost my mind with the boredom. ADD and knitting do NOT mix.

I just occurred to me to ask: Why would anyone in central Texas need a scarf?

That’s what makes it so funny! Lived in Chicago all my life and I pick the year I move to Texas to learn how to knit! Oh well, all my family is back home in Chicago, so you know what everyone is getting for Christmas.
