Gotta pee? It’ll cost you.
It gets more expensive to fly every day. No more $79 round-trip flights to Vegas! I understand that overhead costs are tremendous, but I suspect there’s some gouging going on, particularly from Ryanair, who’s CEO suggested charging customers to use the toilet in-flight.
Charge me for my heavy luggage because I’m an inefficient packer. Charge me for a paper ticket because I’m not savvy enough to use the internet, but do not charge me to take a whiz after I’ve bought a $5.50 Bloody Mary that I had to mix myself from the flight attendant.
Is there no such thing as customer service any more?

I saw that article online, and my first thought was, “Well, I’ll never fly now.” Then I read it closer and saw it was only one airline. Seriously though, with my ridiculously small bladder, the trips to the bathroom would cost me more than the plane ticket.

If the airlines don’t get you, the resorts will. Lynn and I got a hot dog for lunch here in Breckenridge today. It cost us $30 for 2 brats, one order of fries and one bottle of water. Ridiculous!

Ha! That is pretty pathetic- I’ve never heard of Ryanair and wouldn’t think of flying on an airline that isn’t well known. Perhaps this idea is why this CEO is at an airline nobody has heard of!

I remember many years ago they tried to install pay toilets in public places like malls. There was a huge uprising and the pay stalls were removed. It can be a health issue if people can’t use a bathroom!

Hi Corrin! When I was a wee kid in the 60s I remember stores like Sears having the idiocy to have locks on the ladies room stall doors and charge a dime or so to open them. That led to everything from never allowing the door to be closed from the outside and passing the stall on to the next person after flushing, to kids in jeans climbing under stall doors to go. With my small bladder I always had to have all kinds of change with me. It was a pain and with all the complaints and the women’s rights movement coming, thankfully that dark period in history didn’t last long! Likely a male CEO who can whip it out and pee in a bottle would think of bringing that barbaric practice back!
