Good Stuff – Simon Donates $50 Million

1608979652 3de5b2f79d oWhen I read the newspaper online this morning, I came across the perfect story for Skeet‘s weekly Good Stuff post.

One of my company’s main competitors, Simon Property Group donated $40 million to Riley Hospital for Children. The donation will officially be announced today at a luncheon and is being made by David and Jackie Simon. The money will go towards completing a $475 million tower that will house operating rooms, emergency facilities, delivery rooms, and newborn intensive care units.

Riley Hospital helps children from all over the united states. They are known to be the best and usually run at capacity, with the average length of stay at more than nine days.

This isn’t the first time the Simon family has made a sizeable donation to Indianapolis beneficiaries. Last year Mel and Bren Simon pledged $50 million to the Indiana University Cancer Center.
