Glowing (and an unofficial self diagnosis)
I am not one of those women that glows in warm weather. My cheeks do not “pink” and a ponytail does not gracefully cascade down my back. My hair sticks to my neck, my face turns red, my upper lip starts to sweat, and my glasses fog up.
It’s not pretty, but it’s the harsh reality of the situation.
Austin is now over 80 days of 100+ degree temperatures this year, it’s impossible to get cool water out of the tap, Texas is literally on fire (please donate to the Red Cross of Central Texas if you are able), and I’m unofficially diagnosing myself with reverse seasonal affective disorder. I had no idea endless days of warm, sunny weather could give me cabin fever so badly that I’m actually dreaming about vacations, food, fashions, and holidays that involve much cooler temperatures (and dare I say, snow).
So let’s escape, shall we? Is the weather (wherever you are) getting to you? Is there a time of the year you most look forward to/dread?
