I’m very frustrated with my weight gain due to my thyroid. I always used to think that a thyroid problem was a scapegoat for being overweight, but I can now understand why obesity surgery is a viable option for some people. Sometimes there are medical and genetic factors that prohibit people from losing weight and lapband surgery can give them back their energy, mobility, and life.

Well, I’m on my 3rd doctor. The doctor that started this whole mess is no longer covered by my insurance, I had an appointment with an Endocrinologist for next Monday but she left the hospital, and the only other Endo I could find in Indiana with an English sounding name doesn’t have an opening until December 8th. I was feeling better for the first two months after I started the Synroid, but now I’m back to being in bed by 8 and my hair is falling out strands at a time. FUN!

I’m sorry to hear that. I went through the same thing at first too, and the hair issues were especially scary. I hope that you find a good doctor and the right dosage of meds that will at least help you feel human.
