Get the Message – Texting PSA
On my way to work yesterday morning, a Cadillac was in the turning lane and merged into the straight lane without looking or signaling and almost took out a car full of kids in an Escort on their way to school. The Cadillac swerved back into the turning lane and then cut me off when he changed lanes in the middle of the intersection. Surprise – the driver of the Cadillac was on his cell phone.
It wasn’t a kid driving the Cadillac. It was an adult. A businessman. Someone who should know better. This is the kind of PSA they should be showing on American television. Its message affects everyone.

OMG This is terrible. I know it’s not real but this really does happen. After watching the video it kind of makes me mad at the girl cus she wasn’t concentrating and veered off into an oncoming car. That is not what happens usually but this still does happen and it’s so terrible. More needs to be done about it! People need to wisen up! Come on man!!!! For cryin out loud wake up!!!! Sorry.

How bout eating a bowl of soup while merging onto the freeway..not a cup or takeout bowl, a kitchen bowl of soup with a spoon..yea I about creamed this lady (pun intended, I’m assuming it was some kind of nasty cream of bratwurst soup an idiot would like cos only idiots would do this)

Videos like this need to be shown in every driver’s ed class and before getting a license. Just like birthing videos need to be shown in high schools. Reality is ugly people.

Yes @ Toni. I agree with that. They should do. They don’t currently show you videos like this. I think it should be shown to a new driver after they have actually passed their test.

Toni – I agree! When I was in high school, they hauled a totaled car onto the front lawn every year around prom, but that’s as graphic as it got. Kids are so desensitized they really need to be shocked with reality!

Corrin yes you are right for as far as accidents like this go. Life in general is a big risk because we are not made out of iron and accidents do happen. Life itself is very pretty though. Beautiful I would say. Precious. That is why more needs to be done to raise awareness to this still to protect and possible save the lifes of so many of our youngsters that are dying on the roads! I guess I just feel passionate about having known and lost someone close to me who too died in this similar way.
