Four Foods on Friday
1. Mashed potatoes. Do you usually buy the boxes, the frozen or make from scratch.
I actually can’t remember the last time I made mashed potatoes. We grew up on boxed, but I like scratch with lumps.
2. Cottage cheese. What kind do you like? (large curd, small curd, 2%, 4%, no salt, etc)
Deans, small curd, skim.
3. Is there a food that you are brand loyal to?
There’s actually quite a few: Kraft mac & cheese, Ocean Spray cranberry juice, Deans milk and cottage cheese, Quaker oatmeal, Sargento shredded cheese, Heinz ketchup, Fage yogurt, Honeybee honey, Arizona tea, Hidden Valley ranch, Frito Lay chips, salsa, and queso, Okey-Dokey popcorn, and lots more I could think of if it were grocery week.
4. When cooking do you usually use fresh onions or the ones from the spice aisle that are chopped or powdered?
I don’t like onions, but when a recipe calls for them and they are a necessity, I use the prechopped frozen onions. They are very mild and there’s no prep.

Ah. I see from your facebook badge that you too are aficionado of the noble and fine wiener dog species. I knew I liked your blog for a reason…
For myself, I prefer chopped onions, mashed potatoes from scratch (garlic mashed potatoes using red potatoes are favored), and it depends on what its for in regards to cottage cheese curds.
