Diet Update

When I started Atkins, I promised myself I wouldn’t drone on about weight loss on my blog. You can visit Sisterhood of the Shrinkng Jeans for that. The weight loss support, not the droning.
I do want to give a little update and say that this first week on Atkins was probably the easiest week on any diet I have ever been on, and I lost a whopping 6.6 pounds in 6 days.
I’ve had the standard bacon and eggs for breakfast, but I’ve also had crab cakes, meat balls, seafood salad, shrimp stir fry, and salmon. All with a generous serving of salad, peas, brussel sprouts, asparagus, and artichokes.
Vita Rain from Costco has also been a great help for getting that fruit flavor that I crave with no calories or carbs. And I just discovered that extra creamy vanilla Cool Whip has only 2 carbs for serving when I need a little treat!
I’ve been playing a lot of Wii tennis and bowling, and while you might laugh, I’ve broken a sweat more than once during a long tennis match and have the sore shoulder to prove it. Now…to track down a Wii Fit!

Congrats on your 1st of many successful weeks to come.
Great job!!

That tennis game is killer! I’d burn more calories if I stood up while doing it!
By the way, if you can’t find a Wii Fit, another option (and less money) is Outdoor Challenge for Wii. It’s an activity game that includes a floor mat and uses feet movements and hand movements for kayaking, running, log jumping and other activities. 10 minutes of that and I was sweating. My legs were sore the next day too!

Linda – Thanks! Wii is harder than people think it is!

Lynne – Oh, thanks for the tip! The Wii Fit is still sold out everywhere around here.

Teena – I’m a total carb addict, but I was really surprised by how easily I was able to phase them out. Not that I won’t get a craving for breadsticks in the very near future, but it hasn’t been the painful weening process I thought it was going to be.

Thanks, Cady! I know it’s an exceptional week, but I hope to keep it up.

Hey,
Nice blog, I just stumbled on it and I’m already a fan
I hope it’s not impolite but I have just begun documenting
my own weight loss(I lost 30 pounds in a month, so pretty good

the weight loss products I used for your readers.
My most recent blog post is

that would be great because I want to discuss my weight loss success
with as many people as possible. If I can lose that much weight then
any one can. Whatever you do, never give up and you WILL

Hello,
Interesting blog, I just stumbled on it and I’m already a fan.
I hope it’s not too brash but I have just started blogging my own weight loss(I lost 30 pounds in a month, so I’m happy, and I wanted to know if you could write about my diet for your blog readers.
If you’re up to do a link exchange that would be great since I want to discuss my weight loss success
with as many people as possible. If I can lose weight then anyone else can too. Whatever you do, don’t give up and you WILL meet all your weight loss goals!
Thanks for reading,
