• Besides Angelina’s right leg, the Oscars were such a snooze this year. And Rooney Mara looked like she was wearing an old wrinkled bedsheet (and a jock strap).
• I decided to go to BlogHer 2012, if only to write off a trip to visit my sister. Are you going?
• I ordered this feather print sundress in cream. I feel like I should have ordered the blue, too.

• I’ve had this Kimbra song on my playlist for ages and just realized it’s Kimbra of Somebody That I Used to Know fame.
• I’m headed to Mexico in April, which means I’m going to need a new swimsuit. Like this Lands’ End paisley swimsuit – if you’ve got boobs, I can’t recommend their swimsuits enough.
• Digging this beaded ring.
• I resisted ordering this tiny sterling silver skull necklace. For now. I might self-gift for my birthday.
• I need a hip iPhone case (my J.Crew glitter case quickly disintegrated – how disappointing) and I’ve been eyeing this Marco Cibola iPhone case from Uncommon for quite some time.
• Bedazzled eyeshadow brushes. All I need now is a Caboodle and I’m set. (Sad story – I never had a Caboodle. I also didn’t start wearing makeup until nearly college, so I guess the necessity wasn’t there.)
• Tom Binns safety pin earrings make me happy I never stuck real safety pins in my ears.

• I searched YouTube for piglets this morning. Don’t ask me why! It’s like a black hole of cute and it didn’t disappoint.

Remember how I said I wasn’t going to buy any new purses this year? Well, I’ve made it almost two months without so much as picking up a purse to sniff the leather! I can’t believe you doubters doubted me.

But I’ve apparently replaced purses with shoes. I’ve bought all of these since the first of the year.

For those of you that are counting, yes, that is a pair of shoes a week for eleven weeks. Don’t judge me. I’m now also on a shoe buying sabbatical.

Though I did just get a DSW reward and a birthday coupon, so we’ll see.

I’ve always loved animal prints. Leopard, zebra, giraffe. I’m all about the flashy. Work in a metallic animal print and I’m in heaven. But recently my love of animal print has morphed into teeny tiny animal shapes. It all stems from having a miniature dachshund. I’m sure of it.

1. Old Navy bird print blouse. Own it.
2. Old Navy dog print blouse. Had to have it.
3. ASOS cat print dress. I don’t even like cats.
4. ModCloth pony romper. Even a romper is cute when it’s covered in ponies.
5. Dorthy Perkins poodle scarf. This was a must have.
6. ModCloth tall order scarf. I bought a similar scarf at target – same pattern but fuchsia with gray giraffes. I like it better.
7. Happy Scarf zebra crossing scarf. Neon and tiny little zebras? No brainer.
8. Forever21 pony leggings. A combination so wrong it’s right.

The one exception? Pants embroidered with tiny animals. I just cannot.
