Cake Batter Rice Krispie Treats

makes one pan – approximately 16 treats

• 3 tablespoons butter
• 1 10-oz. bag mini marshmallows
• 1/3 cup yellow cake mix
• 6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
• 1 1.75-oz. container of sprinkles

Melt butter in a large saucepan and add marshmallows, stirring continuously until they begin to melt. Add cake mix (I used Betty Crocker Golden vanilla for a super duper cake batter taste) a spoonful at a time until fully incorporated. Stir in cereal until completely coated and add half of the sprinkles (I used nonpareils, but you can use jimmies, even though I think they taste like sawdust). Press mixture into a buttered baking dish (pick the size depending on how thick you want your treats) and let sit for 30 minutes before cutting.

Have a party*.

*And by party I mean turn up the stereo and eat the whole pan by yourself.
