Bloggy Giveaways – Christmas in October!
The Bloggy Giveaways are back! I can’t believe this is the 3rd giveaway I’ve been involved with, and the prizes just keep getting better and better!
Since Christmas will be here before we know it, I’d like to share some of my family’s favorite holiday movies! Every year, we have a small stack of holiday movies that get played over and over again, and every few years, a new movie is good enough to make it into rotation.
Our favorites include:
- Christmas Vacation
- Elf
- A Christmas Story

Television Christmas Classics (Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Frosty the Snowman, Frosty Returns, The Little Drummer Boy)

A little bit of trivia: The man questioning Kevin in the trailer isn’t in the film, it’s the woman who asks him the questions in the supermarket in the actual movie.

Oh Christmas classics of film! I have so many fond memories of watching these movies with my family though the years during the holidays! Some of our tapes of these are the classics taped off of television with our Beta VCR with 80’s commercial breaks. I would love to own these on DVD for my family to enjoy for years to come!

Christmas Vacation is my favorite movie I watch anytime i need a pick me up…
It is expensive and difficult time-wise for my son and daughter-in-law to go out for an evening with 3 little ones. Either the kids are fussy or they themselves are tired, but they love movies and these are great Holiday films. They can just make some popcorn and enjoy at home. If anyone fusses or falls asleep, they can just re-run.
I would love to win these holiday DVDs for Liz and Tristan. They only have one Christmas DVD and that is a Veggie Tales that they’ve already watched countless times.

What better way to get in the Christmas spirit by watching these great movies!
Every year at Christmas time we also try to watch our favorite Christmas movies. But we don’t own them, and when you rent these movies, so does everyone else in the world, and so we always have problems with the DVDs being scratch. Long story short I have been considering investing in my own copies, but can’t seem to justify the cost. I can promise that if I win they will get used a lot, and that I will be back each day this week for another chance. Thanks.

Wow this collection would certainly help me transfer my well worn and next to breaking tapes of our favorite Christmas movies and specials onto DVD.. What a bonus that would be. WE never miss our nightly holiday special or movie the whole month of December but I was beginning to worry about some of the tapes being so worn out. It’s nice to know that the child star in a Christmas Story grew up to be okay.
