baby formula doesn’t have to break the piggy bank
Uh oh…I’m not a mommy blogger, should I be posting about baby formula?
Of course, because I have had a steady stream of baby cousins in my life for the past 13 years that I love to hold and feed and – yes – even change their diapers. If my husband and I ever have choose to have children we will be choosing formula over breast milk for a variety of reasons, one of which being that we come from a family of happy and healthy bottle fed babies (another of which being that it might slightly creep me out to have a kid attached to my nipple).
I know several new moms that have chosen to breastfeed over using formula because of the cost, but parents can still forumula feed their baby and not break the bank. Consumer Reports has recommended that parents who choose to formula feed save up to 50% per ounce by buying store brands of formula – like Walmart’s Parent’s Choice – or switching to powdered formula – both of which meet the nutrient requirements specified by the FDA. Since Consumer Reports is known for their unbiased product reviews and recommendations, parents can feel confident that the research is reliable and that formula can make nutritional and fiscal sense for their family.
This simple baby formula savings calculator shows you just how much money parents can save buying Parent’s Choice infant formula available at Walmart compared to the leading national brands. The savings is staggering and Parent’s Choice formula is nutritionally complete and of the highest quality.
The savings can be as much as $600 a year just be switching to a store brand like Parent’s Choice. That’s enough to buy a really nice purse baby bag!

I must say though, your family must be HORRIBLE people for formual feeding! LMAO Im so jokign dont worry. Its the crap I have been getting form people because I choice to FF. Im killing my baby etc etc. Someone accually wrote today about how much money they would save by not FF and just go on a holiday and I said “yeah, well you might as well not have children at all and buy a luxary sports car” My post got deleted of course. Its not just about money to everyone though, its a personal choice. Good post!

I am in the nursing group (not now LOL), but a firm believer that if you can do. Not only does it help your child’s immune system, but the bonding is incredible. That said, and you choose to switch to a formula for whatever reason good nutrition is a must and while it would be nice to save money, that is not the time to do so. Try changing to cloth diapers versus disposable to save cash, but make sure the nutrition is of the highest caliber.
