$5 Beauty Finds

Sometimes a girl just needs to spend a Saturday night roaming the aisles of the local drug store for some bargain beauty buys.

Since I have been said girl on more than a few occasions, here are some of my favorite beauty finds under $5. (But truth be told, I’m not much of a lotion and potion kind of girl, so when I find something I like, I stick to it. Forever.)

Have you found any hidden gems in the beauty aisle?

(top row)
eos sweet mint lip sphere
$2.99 – Nabbed a sample at a blogging convention 5+ years ago and have used it ever since.
eos vanilla shave cream $3.49 – It smells like cupcakes and Obsession by Calvin Klein – yum.
(middle row)
Twistbands $2 – Okay, you have to order them online, but they’re still the best.
Aussie 3 Minute Miracle $3.99 – Best. Conditioner. Ever.
Maybelline Great Lash Mascara $4.44 – My lashes have gotten a daily cote of Great Lash since I was 15 years old.
Wet n’ Wild retractable eyeliner $1.99 – Goes on smooth and doesn’t get greasy.
(bottom row)
St. Ives Apricot Scrub $3.03 – Another product I’ve been using since I was 15. My sister was a Noxzema girl, I was a St. Ives girl.
Freeman Pineapple Enzyme Face Mask $3.99 – Also comes in single use packets for $0.99.

Girl, these are awesome! You had me wondering what “shame” cream was….of course it’s a tiny typo but I was intrigued!

I use that Aussie condition once a week. It’s amazing. LOVE.

Are those hair ties actual hair ties such as a rubber bandish thing to make a pony tail? It looks so weird. And are they $2 each? Email me to let me know for sure!

Oh, and you don’t have to tie the twistbands. They come tied and you use them like a regular pony tail holder. They’re great – they don’t leave marks in your hair and won’t get tangled.

Niiiiice. My current bargain faves are the Clean & Clear Morning Burst Skin Brightening Facial Scrub, Clean & Clear Morning Burst Fruit Infusions Hydrating Cleanser, Pineapple, Coconut & Açai, and Clean & Clear Morning Burst Skin Brightening Oil-Free Facial Cleanser.

I love the pineapple-y smell of all of them. One cleanser stays on the counter to use at bedtime and the other in the shower for the morning.

I’ll have to add the pineapple face mask to the collection. :)

You know what’s also really good? Neutrogena’s grapefruit face wash and makeup wipes. They smell fantastic!
