ollierosesI never used to be a fan of roses, I thought they were too traditional and prickly, but then Mike sent me a huge multi-colored bundle from 1800-Flowers that were absolutely beautiful, and so fragrant, that I fell in love with the rose from that point on.

I can’t pick a favorite color because my bundle was so pretty and each rose means something different, but there is a rose for every occasion at 1800-Flowers, and they are all beautiful, and you know that they take pride in their roses because they are a proud sponsor of the American Rose Society!

If you live in the quaint town of Bartlett, Tennessee, you might want to think twice about taking your children to Bartlett Grove Park. The local news discovered a video clip on a porn sight of a woman exposing herself at Bartlett Grove Park (don’t get your hopes up, it doesn’t link to the video clip, just the news story) and taking a trip down the slide without her underwear.

I’m curious as to how someone from the station so nonchalantly “discovered” the video clip, and how they brought the topic up at the weekly staff meeting. “I have this friend, who was looking at porn…public, exhibitionist style porn, and he recognized the local park…”

But the best part of the whole article are the quotes from Barbara Taylor. They are an absolute riot…

“She’s definitely a tramp — just nasty,” parent Barbara Taylor said in reaction to the video.

“I think it’s disgusting,” she said. “I think I’m not letting my kids go down that slide anymore.”

The next time Mike and I move, we’re making it easier on ourselves by hiring ABF U-Pack. Driving that big truck is always the most stressful part of moving for me, so we can follow ABF’s packing tips to pack our belongings for the long haul, load the truck ourselves exactly how we want it, and ABF can drive our belongings to our new home.

I’m very particularly about packing my belongings, whether for a trip or a move, and I have to say that I’m impressed with ABF’s packing tips. They give a list of supplies and detailed instructions for packing furniture, electronics, and fragile items.

My favorite tip is to have sandwich bags handy for nuts, bolts, and hardware and to tape the bags to the underside of the piece they came from!

P11295668Mike and I have been complaining about our mattress for the past six months and decided last week that we were going to buy a new king size mattress as our Christmas present to each other. What better gift than a bed so big you feel like you’re sleeping alone?!

After dreaming about a big comfy bed to sprawl out in, we both woke up this morning and couldn’t take it any more. Between Mike’s sore shoulder, my kinked back, and Oliver sprawled out between us like we’re bunking with him, we’re headed out this weekend to purchase a king size…and then we’re going to sleep for the next month straight.

Big news from Photobucket and Target. The two have teamed up and now Photobucket users can order prints for pickup within an hour at most Target stores.

Lots of us bloggers use Photobucket to organize our videos and photos, share albums, create slideshows and host images, and now we have the option of quick and easy printing for those extra special photos!

Once again, Target comes through with everything I could ever need. Except maybe cattle supplies.
