Oh, Miley. If you’re going to pose for slutty pictures at 15 years old (taken by a camera phone or a professional…we’ve now seen both from you), at least make sure you don’t look like a hot mess.

Also, when you proclaim how embarrassed you are about the photos and how Annie Leibovitz mislead you, make sure there isn’t video to prove otherwise.

We have an issue with sleeping arrangements in our house. I hog the bed, Mike tosses and turns, and we have a weiner dog that likes to sleep between the two of us. Sleeping has gotten so uncomfortable that one of us ends up on the couch at least once a week.

Since there isn’t room for three platform beds in our bedroom, we’re going to have to go with a single California King, so I made a deal with Mike. Pay off half of our credit card debt, and we’ll go buy a bigger bed.

We’re now penny pinching our way to a better nights sleep!

Last weekend, Oliver had his first training session, and I am cautiously optimistic. His persistent barking has decreased, he doesn’t bark at other dogs as frequently when we are outside, the kids next door were able to come within ten feet of him without an outburst, and he can sit and lay on command thanks to pet supplements and Buffalo Bites, which he will do anything for.

I think we needed more training than he did, and after spending a little time every day working on commands, we’re both on our way to being well behaved. Oliver’s six week obedience training starts at the end of the month, and I can’t wait to see what else he can learn!

I’ve discussed my distaste for Perez Hilton in the past. I just think he’s absolutely obnoxious and is in desperate need of friends, but he does have a monopoly on celebrity drug rehab gossip, so I’m forced to visit the site daily.

The newest nuisance on his site are his A Worthwhile Cause posts. Not because I don’t agree with donating time and money to charities, but because I’m convinced he’s getting paid to make those posts. One person cannot support that many causes and dedicate enough energy to make it truly worthwhile.

Pick a cause and stick with it, Perez!

It’s 55 degrees in Chicago today, and these flip-flops won’t be coming off my feet until October. Maybe later if Chi-Town decides to pull an Indian Summer. Two years ago I was eating ice cream downtown in capris and a t-shirt the week before Thanksgiving, so you never know!
