The artwork in our apartment isn’t exactly museum quality. I’m not even sure it’s artwork, just family photos, postcards, and canvas pieces from Target. Real artwork will never been in our budget, but we could upgrade our current pieces with oil reproductions. Reproductions all us to live like a true art enthusiast on a poster budget.

Now, I probably wouldn’t go for a flashy reproduction like a Picasso or a Gauguin, but I would go for something a little more abstract or avant garde. A piece not everyone would recognize and would guess to be an original before a reproduction.

You can’t get much more unrecognizable than a piece by “Anonymous”, and I quite like the bright colors and clear sky in the piece to the left. It makes a nice statement without being something that everyone has seen over and over again. A reproduction from Paint Your Life would be very believable and well within our budget.

No matter your style, modern, floral, Baroque or Byzantine, there are hundreds of paintings to choose from. Some anonymous, and some by the greatest painters in history, but all will add life to your walls and pass for an original masterpiece at a mere fraction of the cost of a one and only piece.
