Four Foods on Friday

1966173331 71141d5f0aEverybody lick their chops and get their napkins ready, because it’s time for Four Foods on Friday!

Here are this week’s questions…

1. American cheese. Sliced fresh or prepackaged processed cheese product?

We eat American cheese on sandwhiches from Subway or Jimmy John’s but always buy Sargento extra charp cheddar from the deli aisle for home. We love cheese.

2. What is your favorite cracker?

We just bought a giant double box of Triscuits from Costco last weekend and I doubt it will last until next weekend, which means the Sargento sharp cheddar will be gone, too, because they are a match made in heaven.

3. What hot breakfast cereal do you like?

There’s always a box of Quaker maple and brown sugar instant oatmeal in the pantry, but I never eat it, even though I love it. I feel like it needs to be there for when I get the craving.

4. Share a recipe that uses corn.

Not a recipe by a long shot, but I am loving the sweet corn from Costco lately. I boil until tender, cut off the cob, and add some salt and pepper. Delish.

  4. I totally agree. Triscuits and sharp cheddar cheese are wonderful together. We got some extra-sharp white cheddar at Wal-Mart in their deli section, and it was soooo good with the Triscuits. In fact, I think I’ll go have a snack right now. LOL

  5. Love me a nice sharp cheddar, too. And doesn’t Costco have the best produce department. I dont’ knwo how they manage to get their stuff all the way to Hawaii so fresh, but it’s always good!

  6. I wish I had a Costco closer! Sounds like I could drop some serious grocery $$$ there. BTW, did you have any problem commenting at my place? Val mentioned it last Friday and I don’t know why she would have had problems.

  7. have you had the frozen white corn from trader joes? it’s so perfectly sweet and crunchy. doesn’t even need butter!

  8. I know the feeling of loving some food but not eating it regularly! :P Like the boxes of Oreos in my cupboard. I see it, but I rarely eat it. Unfortunately, when I get the craving, it’s gone - someone else beat me to it! :P

Leave a comment. They make me happy.
