Does Tackle It Tuesday seem to come around quicker and quicker each week to anyone else? Time flies when you’re tackling projects!This week I’m tackling my makeup basket. After I hit a new low of scooping blush off the counter after I dropped my compact, I figured it was time to invest in some new makeup and brushes and seriously evaluate what was in my basket.

If you look closely, you can spot some black eye shadow from high school! I ended up throwing half of my makeup out and putting the basket in the dishwasher for a good clean.

I keep stuff way too long. It isn’t healthy to have make up that old but for what we pay for it, it is hard to throw it out.
Karen - I was trying not to think of how gross the makeup was. I know you can get pink eye and all kids of nasty stuff from old make up!
I see you use Almay SmartShade, too! Love that stuff! I just had a giveaway for some of it awhile back on my blog.
Wonderful! I did my make up/hair drawer a few weeks ago. I gave my hidious make up to my daughter. :~P
I think I have some eyeshadow from HS also. I should probably attempt to clean my out as well.

Wow, you makeup is so orderly and well nice… Now I am inspired to post photos of mine, it’s a huge disaster!
