Grate-It-Fresh

I was super excited to add Kraft Grate-It-Fresh parmesan to my shopping cart this afternoon. I wasn’t super excited when I Googled it and read that internet foodies hate it.
I grated some on top of tomato soup for dinner, and maybe it’s because I’m not a food snob, but I thought it was great. Not everyone keeps a perfectly aged wedge of parmesan cheese in waiting!
I live in the land with Parmesan police. I saw this in my local supermarket and as I reached for a woman said, “Do not buy that. Let me show you what you need.” She then took me around the corner to the cheese counter and handed me a block of cheese. I was so shocked at her, that I ended up buying the cheese. It was good. Thanks for letting me know what I missed!
Sorry but a corner of a real italian parmesan is the only cheese which comes over my food. I tasted it and its definitely not yumi!
Well, as I alluded to, I think it’s all about availability. This is what is available at our grocer, and I think it is definitely a step above the powdered parmesan.
Beeker - I’m not sure I would appreciate a complete strange butting in and telling me what to buy. I guess it’s all about her delivery.

Well as someone who doesn’t really like Parm no matter how it comes I”m gonna pass lol However, I am a snob about my provolone cheese
I bet the cheese police don’t like Velveeta either! I personally think this is worth a try, my husband goes through parmesan like a mad man!
How fun is this? I am all about the cheese, and this sure beats the powery kind you can hardly taste.

Laurie - I just commented to Mike how much cheese we eat. I think we bought four different kinds on our last trip to the grocery.
