Four Foods on Friday
Four Foods on Friday takes on a new meaning for me this week since I completed my first week as a food marketing coordinator. I’ve worked on new packaging for a breading mixed, a newletter for a vanilla manufacturer, and helped with a photo shoot for cupcakes, crepes, and broccoli cheddar soup.
I work with such foodies, that I feel like I need to go out and buy new pots and pans and subscribe to every cooking magazine available, because I’m not quite up to their standards…yet.
1. Steak. Plain, steak sauce, hot sauce, ketchup or something else?
I like a sprinkle of feta cheese on my steak. If that’s not available, I’ll settle for ketchup.
2. Water. Flavored, plain, carbonated. How do you like it?
Extra cold, no ice. I also use sparkling water to make fruit juice spritzers. Laugh all you want, but they are good!
3. What’s your favorite kind of waffle?
This is my food snobbery is lacking. Is there more than one kind of waffle? I like mine with butter and syrup, and preferably, as big as the plate it is on.
4. If you could have any one new small appliance for your kitchen what would it be and why?
I’d love to have a toaster! Mine broke like three years ago, and I’ve never replaced it.

[...] Corrin would like a toaster and likes both plain and sparkling water. Corrin started her new job this week. Congrats Corrin! She’s also got a recipe for mini pound cakes for Valentine’s Day but I’m pretty sure they’d be good any day. [...]
I couldn’t survive without my toaster! I start every day with toast, then use ti again to toast sandwich rolls for lunch.
Thanks for playing Four Foods on Friday. Stumbled.
Skeet - I have no idea how we’re living without one! I’ve been sticking things in the broiler to crisp them up. I don’t know why I’m so against spending $14 on a new one.
Thanks, Val. I’ve never been Stumbled before!
Ooo…feta would be yummy on steak! A bit different than the traditional blue cheese!
I never heard of putting feta on steak. I’ll have to try that!
I’ve never heard of putting feta cheese on steak! It doesn’t sound half bad though and it sound much better than ketchup!
Feta on steak is delightful. My sister always puts blue cheese on her steak, and I hate blue cheese, so I figured, why not throw some of my favorite cheese on top! I also put it on salads and I make a pasta dish with feta that is awesome.
Karen - do a little sprinkle of feta, and then put your steak in the broiler so that it melts and gets a little crispy. Yum.
please, no ketchup on steaks….
Beeker…it’s an acquired taste. I hate steak sauce, so I have to have a little something extra!
Ouch, can’t live without my toaster, that’s for sure (LOL).
