Concrete is a hot topic in my parent’s house this morning. My dad stopped by the new house to take a look at the progression of construction and noticed that the builder poured concrete for a full basement instead of a half basement and hasn’t yet noticed the mistake, which means they are getting half a basement for free!

This may be the beginning of a great love of concrete in my family, and who knows, maybe some concrete benches will end up on the front porch! Doty & Sons has been carrying concrete planters, benches, and tables since 1948 so if my parents are going to buy concrete benches from anyone, it has to be them.

Pam Anderson and Rick Solomon are engaged? What the shit.

I always thought Pam Anderson was a little nutty, but I always considered her sane. She seemed to take good care of her kids, lead a fairly normal home life, and she managed to keep her goods under wraps at most times, which is no easy feat, but Rick Solomon is such a scuzz-bag, and he’s not even good looking.

I’m not a professional, but I take a lot of pictures. My camera is always in my purse and I’m constantly uploading pictures from my camera to my computer and then posting them on my blogs. I’m also always looking for more creative ways to display my pictures than just putting them in a frame and displaying them on the counter and Photo Blankets are definitely more creative. Not only can you turn your pictures into blankets, but you can make photo pillow and pillowcases, and shower curtains just by uploading your photos.

After vacation, it is diet and exercise for me and Mike! We are both seriously considering Medi-Fast again since it worked so well last year to help us shed the weight. This time, we won’t rush out to Chipotle to celebrate our weight loss.

As far as exercise goes, Mike hauled the elliptical into his living room and I’m going to try ballroom dance. Just look at all the weight everyone on Dancing With The Stars loses, and they are having fun, too!

If ballroom dancing isn’t for me, there’s always salsa, swing, or line dancing! No matter which I choose, they are all great exercise and will help with weightloss.

Four short days until we leave for Disney World, and it doesn’t look like the weather is going to cooperate. The 10 day forecast says 87 degrees and scattered thunderstorms every day.

Does Disney keep the parks open when it thunderstorms? I’m going to be prepared and bring ponchos!

Between Mike and I, we have six little cousins and nephew to buy for this Christmas. We don’t go all out with gifts, but we do like to get them a little something to show them that we’re thinking about them, and I thought that a Personalized Christmas Story Book was a really cute idea. They all believe in Santa, would be tickled to see their name in a book, and it’s a reasonably priced gift.

It was beautiful out today, so we took Oliver to the tennis courts at the park to run around, and he was having none of it.

Lazy weiner dog wouldn’t even chase the ball for more than two minutes without stopping to catch his breath and have a drink of water, and as soon as we were back in the car he crawled into the back seat and went to sleep.
