Blog Day 2007

If you aren’t familiar with BlogDay 2007, here’s the skinny…

BlogDay was created with the belief that bloggers should have one day dedicated to getting to know other bloggers from other countries and areas of interest. On that day Bloggers will recommend other blogs to their blog visitors.

With the goal in mind, on this day every blogger will post a recommendation of 5 new blogs. This way, all blog readers will find themselves leaping around and discovering new, previously unknown blogs.

I hoard blogs. I have an entire folder of blogs bookmarked, and today’s the day I’m going to check out their blogrolls and share 5 of my new favorites blogs.

  1. KodyKuechenberg.com – This is actually a shameless plug. Kody is a family friend who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor during a routine eye exam before entering kindergarten. I set up the website for family and friends to leave well-wishes and update on Kody’s condition. Please take a second to visit and leave Kody some good karma.
  2. We’re In Debt – The great American struggle to get out of debt, and they did a pretty damn good job. The entries are quick, snappy, they admit their pit-falls, and explain their victories. Love it.
  3. The Sneeze – Linked from my all-time favorite, Natalie Dee, The Sneeze does not disappoint. I dare you to read Green is the Color of Going off Script without peeing your pants. Dare. You.
  4. Cupcakes Take The Cake – A blog about cupcakes. Yum.
  5. The Most Expensive Journal – Stuff I’ll never afford.

I posted about CellFish a few weeks ago, and I had so much fun fiddling with the digital locker and Free Ringtones that I had to upload some of the pictures that we took in Las Vegas.

This is my favorite picture of the whole trip and since it was taken with my digital camera, I thought there was no way to make it the background on my cell phone, until I uploaded the picture to CellFish and was able to send it to my cell phone and save it as my background.

Not only that, but my whole family can visit my webpage, click the little cell phone on the bottom right hand corner of the above image, follow the simple instructions, and send the picture to their phone so that they can have our shining faces as their background too!

CellFish is now linked to my cell phone so that I can send photos to my phone and upload photos to my digital locker from my phone. It is super easy to change my setting and notificications just by logging into my account and taking a look at the messages and alerts tab.

Every time I go to Las Vegas, I become fixated with gathering (I won’t say collecting, because I’m not stashing them away for a rainy day) nudie cards.

Of course, I make Mike take them from the guys handing them out, but I stash them in my purse as we walk. This trip set a nudie card record. We picked up 127 cards in 3 days.

Now, what to do with them all? Maybe I’ll start putting one in the envelope every time I pay a bill to give the person processing the payment a laugh.

lasvega 005After our weekend bender in Las Vegas, we are tequila connoisseurs and I’m sure we would hit it off famously with The Tequila Guy. Double on the rocks, anyone?

The Tequila Guy is knowledgeable on more than 700 varities of tequila from all over the world. He regularly features a tequila of his choice, and recommendation, and restaurants showcasing tequila’s influence of cuisin. He even has a few tequila recipes of his own that he recommends.

If you think you can rival The Tequila Guy in your tequila knowledge, feel free to join in the tequila chat or pose your own question to the tequila guru.

The Atlanta airport was a mess due to heavy storms and holiday travelers. After being delayed for over two hours, we finally made it back to Indianapolis around 2 am. Mike drove straight back to Chicago, arriving around 3:30 am, got two hours sleep, and then went to work. I took the day off.

It’s non-stop flights from here on out for us.
